Bright colours bring me joy, and this piece is inspired by my euphoria when I feel intense joy. Music intensifies and prolongs my feelings of joy and elation, and I listen to certain tracks incredibly loudly so I can feel the music with my entire body; it’s like every cell is in total rapture and I feel utterly alive in these moments.

I have deliberately left visible brushstrokes to give more texture as these give an appearance of threads woven together when the piece is lit from behind. The irregular paint consistency then creates multiple new shades when layered over the other colours during the weaving process. There are no lyrics on this piece as music is about enhancing my euphoria, and this is more about feeling the music rather than connecting with specific lyrics.
