This work is inspired by the moments of intense joy and elation I now feel in my life post-divorce.

Loosely based on the Child's Pose from my yoga practice, the exuberantly curved copper strips erupt from the piece with a huge sense of energy, the spirals suggesting movement and growth, with the woven sides enriched by patination, this piece expresses the deep joy and elation I now feel in my life post-divorce.

Like many women going through divorce, I’ve had to work hard to get where I am. I view my life now as a gift I've given to myself, and this piece articulates the intangible, but intense, freedom and joy I now experience as a single woman.
