FayRaylene

INFO

Fay Raylene, based outside London UK, is a mostly self taught artist, having completed a fine art foundation diploma in July 2026 at Medway School of Art, after a long corporate career with no prior art experience. She has been awarded a place on the MASS Sculpture programme starting September 2026. Raylene has exhibited in group shows, and received a Highly Commended in Homiens Art Prize.

Raylene’s creative practice is intensely personal making physical the intangible, often hidden, parts of her life and internal emotional landscape. She frequently uses weaving to represent how complex and interwoven these concepts can be. Raylene likes to push weaving beyond the traditional, using unexpected materials such as metals and plastic, moving her weaving from 2D into 3D structures. Despite her work sometimes focusing on tough subjects, Raylene brings humour and subversion, whilst reflecting wider societal trends.
